Power Vinyasa Yoga: Which is a flowing sequence of yoga postures linked together by breath. Our classes will help you build grace, poise, strength, balance, flexibility and endurance. Power Yoga is appropriate for most fitness levels and is fun! We offer modifications for each pose so that you can adjust for your level of flexibility and strength. Our room is heated to 85-95 degrees. The heat warms muscles and helps them to stretch more and work optimally within a greater range of motion. Over time, this will help build strength, balance, and flexibility. There is never competition in class. Each student is encouraged to work at his or her own level. Yoga can help uncover your physical and mental potentials, unifying body, mind and spirit.
Freedom Style Yoga: combines several styles of yoga, mainly Hatha and Vinyasa Flow with deep stretches and equal focus on strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Room temperature is about 75 degrees. All levels are welcomed and encouraged as we learn to practice in community and release judgment, competition, and expectations.
Freedom Flow Yoga: Freedom Flow yoga combines several types of yoga, mainly Hatha and Vinyasa Flow with deep stretches and equal focus on strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Room temperature is about 80-85 degrees. We will focus on bringing Heat into the body through room temperature and poses. You will sweat a little more, so do bring a towel, not a bucket ;). All levels are welcome and encouraged as we learn to practice in community and release judgment, competition, and expectations.
|Preparing Yourself for a
• Room heated to 85-95 degrees. This warms the muscles to help you stretch.
• Arrive 10 minutes early
• Bring a mat
• Bring a towel - you will sweat!
• Come on an empty stomach
• No perfumes, colognes or scented lotion
• Hydrate sufficiently before and after class
• Place cell phones on vibrate or off
• Remember there is no competition - where you are is where you are supposed to be
Getting to work privately with a teacher is often the best way to begin learning Yoga. It can help the beginner learn specific poses and proper alignment. Private lessons can also help to safely take the more seasoned practitioner into advanced poses to take their practice to the next level.
